Sorry for the big delay in between posts, but we have been incredibly busy the past 6 months with grants, field work, and of course our SharkBanz and SharkTec partners! Our repellent technologies have been experiencing record sales this year, with a run on all inventory in the US and abroad in just the last month due to the recent shark bites in the Carolinas. Our longline repellents continue to push the envelope on shark bycatch reduction, and our research and development work is currently focused on this technology.
What we didn’t mention in a former post was that Dr. Eric Stroud, representing SharkDefense, was invited to a shark specialist panel with His Serene Highness, the Prince of Monaco. The two-day session included all notable shark policy makers and specialists from around the world. We can’t say more 🙂
With regards to SharkWeek 2015, SharkDefense has politely bowed out of three invitations this year with Discovery contractors working directly on SharkWeek 2015 programming. We will be exploring upcoming pure and applied science-oriented shows with Discovery for 2016.
We promise to keep this part of the website updated more frequently.
